We navigated mostly through online lessons from September 2020 to June 2021 and all students excelled!
Almost all students completed CNCM Star Performance Exams in June and everyone achieved marks of 90+! Well done! Unfortunately, we were unable to have an in-person recital this year.
Congratulations to Jeansolle and Sekora for participating in the CNCM virtual Convocation and receiving their silver medals.
Sekora, Lindsey, Annelise and Jeansolle enjoyed the virtual CNCM Composer and Kids sessions with Debra Wanless, Wes Froese, Keri Puckrin, Carolyn Garritano, Julianne Warkentin and David G. Duke. They were so excited to meet the composers of music they play! Everyone is looking forward to Summer Sizzle 2022 in Biggar, SK.
July 2020
What a year it has been! We transitioned into online lessons following March break. I’m so proud of all my young students for navigating this new way of learning with me on top of all your school work and challenges of not going to school.
Our June CNCM examination results were awesome! Congratulations! We are looking forward to watching our online Spring recital when it is ready. Many adults with limited internet service had to pause lessons – I hope to see you all in the near future! Unfortunately Summer Sizzle 2020 to be held in Biggar, Saskatchewan in July had to be cancelled. Hopefully everyone will be together again next year!
July 2019
Our Spring Recital was held on June 9 – awesome playing by all! We enjoyed a wonderful CNCM Examination day on June 25 and the results are amazing!
Summer Sizzle was held July 15 and 16. Lindsey-Li, grandma Betty, Jeansolle, John and I travelled to Owen Sound where we enjoyed two full days of group classes, teacher workshops, lunch and dinner recitals, wonderful conversations with old and new friends, meeting twenty-two composers, purchasing new music at the tradeshow and excellent meals and snacks! This is the best pedagogy conference anywhere and I look forward to it every year! Next summer it will return to Biggar, Saskatchewan.

We had a wonderful afternoon with Canadian composer Jennifer Smith Lanthier! Students enjoyed working with her on improvisation and melody writing.
Our end of year recital will be held on Sunday, June 10 at Ravenshoe United Church - 1:30 pm. Looking forward to wonderful performances and seeing all your families and friends!

Welcome back! So great to see you! Please check your calendars for dates of all the awesome activities that we have planned! Our family open house will be held onWednesday, September 14 from 6:30 – 8. I hope you can attend. Summer 2016
What a lovely hot summer we're having! We enjoyed some teaching days in July and I'm off to Summer Sizzle in August! Watch for pictures when I return and enjoy the rest of your summer!
Spring 2016
Students have enjoyed March break and the Easter holiday and are on the final push to the end of the year. They are working very hard on their pieces and starting to organize programs for their recital CNCM examinations.
I will be confirming our Composer and Kids session with Tyler Seidenberg for Saturday, April 30. We know what an amazing day that will be!
I will try to hold two group classes before the end of the year – dates TBA – please check the studio Facebook page and bulletin board. Our Spring Recital will be held on Sunday, June 12 at 1:30 pm.
July 2015 News
Summer is here and most students are having a well-deserved break from lessons.
Five students, three moms, a few friends and my husband John will all be attending Summer Sizzle in Mount Forest with me July 19-21. I look forward to this pedagogy symposium every year and my students are very excited to attend the kids camp and work with many Canadian composers.

Many students are joining me in the 30 day Practice Challenge and doing very well! Way to go!
I will be mailing CNCM exam applications before February 23, so please have them returned by then.
A tentative date has been set for Composer and Kids – Saturday, May 2 – please keep this date open and I will let you know as soon as it is confirmed.

November 2014 News
Students are working hard on Christmas pieces to share with family and friends at our recital on Sunday, December 14 at 1:30 pm.
The Newmarket Lions Music Festival will have online applications ready for December 1. Please speak with me if you are interested in performing in the music festival – April 2015.
It is my hope that piano examinations will be held in the studio during the month of May 2015 (asking for examiner availability). Will confirm later.
September Start-up Date!
Lessons will begin on Monday, September 15. An email will be sent confirming start date, time and tuition. I have lots of great ideas for the new year and look forward to seeing you all again soon!
A student/parent meet and greet with refreshments will be held in September – date to be announced soon!
