Christmas Recital 2014

We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Recital on Sunday, December 14. All students played very well and remembered to bow and smile. I was so proud of all of you! Thank you to parents and friends for your participation in the Canadian Moose in the Maple Tree and the Jingle Bells Rhythm Band. You are such good sports and like to have fun. Thanks to Marilyn, Wayne and Gord for singing “Merry Christmas Mozart” with me and to Jade for your help bothSaturday and Sunday. Finally, thank you for the generous donations to the Georgina Food Pantry.

Halloween Recital 2014

Full house at our SPOOK-tacular Halloween recital at Cedarvale on Saturday October 25! Thank you to all students who participated. You brought smiles to a lot of faces, your costumes were wonderful and playing was great!

CNCM Recital Examinations 2014

Kathy’s Piano Studio had a wonderful day of CNCM Recital Examinations on Monday, June 16, 2014.
We heard some great playing and awesome presentations! Here are pictures of my two youngest students holding their posters and the wonderful array of programs. Students come away from this process filled with pride in their accomplishments and the enthusiasm to move forward in their musical journey. Composer Andrew Harbridge Workshop

We had a great day with Canadian composer Andrew Harbridge! Affiliation with the Northern Lights Canadian National Conservatory of Music has enabled us to make connections and friendships with
well-known composers who provide excellent pedagogical material for students.

Pianolympics 2014

Pianolympics officially started Monday February 3rd! The torch arrived and the olympic flame is burning. Our super athletes will be competing in five events for five different countries. I'm really looking forward to the month of February!

Christmas Recital 2013

"Composer's and Kids" with Tyler Seidenberg

Students and parents had a wonderful day on Saturday, November 30 with Canadian composer Tyler Seidenberg. Students had a great time “jamming” with Tyler as they played one of his pieces. The music studio turned into a fantastic recital hall. Special thanks to my husband John for catering lunch and to CNCM and SOCAN Foundation for providing us this opportunity.

Students had a great time adding a leaf to the tree each week. Prizes were given to many students who had productive, consistent practice from September to December. Well done! It was a lovely piece of art in the studio.
